Pacestetter and Magnaflow cat don't fit.

Ok, I got a 3x3 cat, but it does'nt fit with my pacesetter headers. What do I need for it to connect?

Nobody know's? Could it be the weather? I have been driving it a little with open y pipe. Maybe it's from heating and cooling..?

Could use a little more info, like what is the problem? "It doesn't fit" doesn't tell us the problem. ;)

And you might have to wait more than 40 minutes for an answer.

Sorry. The cat does'nt fit into the ypipe or vise versa. They are the same size. Hope that helps. I'm warming my car up now to see if there is expansion in the y.

Either the y-pipe or the cat should have a section that is smaller than the rest so that it'll slip over. If not, you'll have to take it to to an exhaust shop to have them rig it up.

That's what I was afraid of. Is that a common problem? I tried some researching on it and nothing. I tried both sides of the cat to the ypipe and the same. Is there something like a reducer with the same sides?

I called a shop and they said they could expand it for now. That's what I'll do. It's only about 10 duckets.

i ran into the same problem when i got mine. the seem to design it to fit over the factory y-pipe and the pacesetter y-pipe is designed to fit over the factory cat. doesnt work to well when used together but like mentioned above. getting it welded is a good idea anyways but i think if you tighten it down good enough, it should work for now if you get it expanded.

I got the ypipe expanded to fit over the cat, but I should of got the cat to fit over the y pipe. Now it leaks and there is no way to close it, but get it welded. Also the s pipe goes into the cat, but can't get the clamp to seal it. I called around and found a shop to weld everything for about $75.

It also sounds like a girly man. It's because of the two leaks.. right?

Or maybe I was driving around with an open ypipe. Man I wish it soumded like that.
