  • Pacesetter Collector Bolts

Does anyone who has the pacesetters on a 3.8 seem to have collector bolts that are too long and the threads don't seem to go down the shaft far enough. My bolts are as tightened as possible becuase of the threads and the exhaust is only sealed once the headers get hot and expand and seal to the y pipe. I would have thought pacesetter would send me bolts that were the right size...dammit.

Yeah they were way too long, just threw some more washers and nuts on there that took care of it.

I replaced the stock pacesetter ones with ones that were threaded all the way up so that I could get them tight enough.

A dozen 3/8" washers did the trick...no more leaks...just a mean sounded exhaust.
