Have you ever thought about a Ravin muffler? I got the exhaust setup in my sig installed all at the same time, and I like it a lot. It's got a great V8 type rumble, but isn't obnoxiously loud... I'd give it my vote.

Here's some pics of my tips... sorry, but no sound clip. I don't know how to go about getting one or else I'd love to

Dynomax all the way man. 3in pipes and cat. People have mistaken my car for an 8. Won't get anoying. Great sound threw all RPMs. Literally no rice. I am sure if you would get headers too it would sound inredable. Good luck with your search!

the magnaflow is quiet yes....lets put it this way. i had my v6 camaro next to someones 92 mustang GT. He had magnaflow and i had flowmaster. mine sounded a lot better and louder than his at idle, think of the magnaflow as a stock exhaust system with a hole in the piping, u know how an old rusted out system sounds like....its about that loud
screw the 3in piping, thats way to free flowing...u need the backpressure.

OOOOhhh so many different ideas!, I am even more confused now

I guess to sum it up, if I could jsut get somethign that would not deafen me, or get annoying, and jsut as important, it cant sound like a Civic! If I cant get a good musculr sound out of this car, I jsut wont bother trying!

I am gonna keep an eye on the salvage auction for a Z28 or SS and hopefully get a car with an LS1 cheap, then I will have the muscle for sure!

I second to Dynomax. Flowmaster is all good down low rpms but when it all climbs up from 3500s it gets very RICEY. I had flows for about a year til I switch to dynomax.

I have noticed that not to many people have the Magnaflow. I think that is the best system out there! Do u guys think something is wrong with it?

Get the Flowmaster American Thunder Catback. It sounds great and since it has a resonator it even sounds good in the high rpms. It's aluminized so it won't rust and it isn't really expensive. Since it's not too expensive you should be able to afford some new exhaust tips, if you want them. That way you have a great sound and your own look.
I have an American Thunder Catback on my car and here's a pic of my exhaust tips.

I just replaced my Magnaflow catback for a Flowmaster catback and I am happy with the new system. The Magnaflow was loud and ricy when I first got it so I added PaceSetter glasspack tips and spliced in a cherry bomb to the I pipe. It still sucked. A year and a half later, the muffler cracked at one of the outlet ports and the PaceSetter tips were completely rusted out inside. Get yourself a Flowmaster from Jeggs for under $300 to your door. Go to Flowmaster's website and play the soundclip, but don't believe that's what it will sound like. The V8 sound clip is the same as the V6. Yours will sound different, but you will probably like it.

I think catbacks are pretty much an area of personal preference. I didn't get the Flowmaster because I didn't want to rattle my neighbors' windows so I went for the Magnaflow. As it turns out, it's still louder than I expected after listening to sound clips, so I'm not sure they're a great means of making a decision. If you can, see how they sound on a real car right next to you. If you have a custom exhaust shop close by stop by and talk to them first, I learned a lot after I took my catback there for installation.

I have a Magnaflow exhaust and love it. It's not too loud, but still has a good bark to it when you punch it. The flowmaster seems to droning to me. My friend has it on his 3.8 camaro and the damn thing drowns out his radio. Those are just my 2 cents, but when it comes down to it everyone has their own preferences. The best bet is to go to a muffler shop that installs all different brands b/c they will have heard all the different brands at one time or another and can suggest something to fit your wants or needs.

Look in my signature, go to my website, and under the "media" section, you will find a sound clip of my magnaflow muffler.

Its was when my whole car was stock, except the muffler. Not even at catback system, just the muffler. It sounds SOOOOO much better now with headers, i-pipe etc....

But it still sounds good in the clip.
Have a listen.
