Ok.. i have the SLP CAI and a friend and i got to talking about it and we came up with this idea of wraping the CAI with a form of insulation AND do the free ram air mod. The thoughts behind this is that if we can keep the CAI cool as air is comming in from the ram air it might help the cai. so as dragging down the track cooler air is brought in from outside and taken in past the filters on the CAI as cooler air is taken in it cools down the metal of the CAI and the Insulation keeps the metal cooler than the engine bay. Now the question is is this idea full of 'Hot Air' :D .. ::yuck yuck:: or may there be some validity to the idea? I have the funds and the plans to do this and am more than willing to put up stuff to see if this will be worth it abut i want some other opinions about this befor i do it. [img]smile.gif[/img]
