the whisper lid replaces your stock lid and the intake bellows between the lid and the throttle body. I havent heard much of the FIPK, but i have a lid matched with a K&N and it was well worth the money.2003 Chrome Silver Nissan 350z 6 Speed

2001 Bright Rally Red Camaro 3800 M5-----SOLD but missed

IF you're lucky, you'll see maybe 5hp over stock if all you've done is intake. Also, think about where the intake system is getting the air from:
The FIPK gets the air from inside the heated engine bay.
The ram air/SLP cold air intake gets its air from the pressure zone created by the air dam, which is cooler than the engine air. I just think the K&N kit is a waste of money2000 silver A4 Camaro
Whisper lid; Free Ram Air; BMR stb; MSD super conductor wires; Gatorback belt?
1986 RX-7 (daily driver)

i if ur were going to get a intake kit the bast one would be the slp dual one most bang for your buck. and if you get a intake kit u should take out the bottom part that catch the liquid its rite under the car where the kit would go that way free cold air can get up their giving the max hp gains.JpX

shave it, cut it, smooth pipe it. works great. then add the slp 'under airbox' style cold/ram air kit.
