    my new cat

    I just put on a new catco 3" high flow cat on yesterday, and it makes the same sound my stock cat did, like the guts in the cat are coming apart. My new cat definetly makes the exhaust noticeably louder.
    But when i put my foot to the floor it just makes that noise like it's coming apart on the inside, anyone else get this sound, is it normal?
    2000 Firebird 3.8, auto, flowmaster 80, taillight blackouts, 02 formula swaybars, poly endlinks and energy support bushings, 1 1/2in cut springs

    Are you sure it's not the heat shield around it rattling? You might want to just double check and tighten it.
