  • Hollow sound with acceleration?

I'm getting a strange, hollow sound when I accelerate. I just bought this '95 Firebird. Any suggestions on what it is?

What kind of hollow sound? Is there a papery, raspy sound also-that could be an exhaust leak.

Is it a sort of mustang hollow, or tunneling sound-that should be normal.

from the exhaust or up front?

Sounds like it is up front. Messed up header maybe?

Sometimes if the catalytic converter goes bad, it will do that.
