after talking to a lady at my local exhaust shop, she recommended getting just the muffler and keeping the stock pipe on. She seemed to have worked with quite a few v6's. I know a lot of people put bigger pipes on and i was planning on doing that but she said it wouldnt be the sound im lookin for if i put a bigger pipe on because my car is a v6. So do you all still think i should put a bigger pipe on? cause im sorta confused now.

she is just dumb --
The larger diameter exhaust piping will give you a more aggressive exhaust note and also increase the power your car is putting out. Screw getting just a muffler, get a whole catback system if you are going to do it.Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D

Im definately willing to get an entire catback if thats what gives me best sound. I know that just a flowmaster muffler gets ricey above 3500 rpms. Thats why i wanted to get an entire catback, but she said i wouldnt be happy with the sound. I think ill just get the catback and install it myself. lots of our engines sound ricey round 3500rpms. I wouldnt recommend doing it yourself, just take it to the shop tell her what you want done, and dont take no for an answer.
btw what catback you lookin at?I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

Well many other people have highly recommended the flowmaster Lt1 system (17143). So Ill take their word for it and go with that. I am going to install it myself though. It doesnt look hard. Ive already scoped it out and everything.
