  • Ram Air Scoop for 3.4L Camaro

    ok, here's the idea:

i did the 3 inch home depot PVC cold air intake (from underneath the original air intake, all the way down - you know where i mean), and this maximizes my air intake, on my budget, which is great, but i like the idea of having a cool scoop, which is fine, but not really effective, unless the area around the filter is sealed, raming the air into the air filter - creating ram air...

so, i was in the local hardware store, and saw these scoops for dryer vent exits, but they were perfect, a scoop, with a metal wire guard over the circular opening, and up through 5 inch diameter cylindrical metal tubing... the idea is to have my conical air filter in this metal tubing, and then having a round piece of metal over the top, and seal it, therefor fully sealing off the filter, forcing all this scooped air fully into the intake, hopefully maximizing my air flow, and the air will be as cold and dense as possible...

long and complicated, i know, but i hope you can envision my idea, and tell me what you think...
