Ok.....read these words CAREFULLY! I had straight pipes on my 3.8 just a few weeks ago. It sounded like complete A$$! The idle sounds mean as hell. Almost like a NASCAR stock car. HOWEVER, if you give it ANY gas at all, it gets so loud that traffic almost screeches to a halt. It is annoying it's so loud. TriFlo99 from this board has heard it and agrees. Right now I have no cat and a 3" 40 series which is a WHOLE lot louder than the 80 series, but it dosen't even come close to straight pipes. Don't make the same mistake I made. Straight pipes are EXTREMELY loud, you loose bottom end, it smells bad, and it draws WAAAY too much attention to you. Whatever you choose, GOOD LUCK!!! I ran staight pipes and at idle and under 2k rpms it sounded mean as hell, but once you start accelerating, people will know what you did(inclduing cops) and after a while it does get annoying.Plus you lose low end power.I'm not even going to mention the horrible smell that gives you ****in headaches like crazy.

Oh come on, I had true duals for a while and the smell wasn't thatbad. I think I got a headache more from the sound than anything. Sure does sound good though. :DMy Old Car - 2000 Silver V6 Bird

The replacement-
94 Firebird Formula - 383, TH400, and a big blower
http://community.webshots.com/user/fastblackcar94
