I searched for my question but didnt find any answers.
Im building my own cold air intake on my 97 Firebird friday and i was just curious about one thing.
Do you think it would be a problem if water droplets are falling onto the filter from up above???
The water coming off the hood and trickling in above the headlight into the engine bay seems like it will fall right over where i plan on placing the air filter. Would constant water dropping onto the filter hurt anything?
Could it get sucked into the engine any way and harm anything? Any information would be good. I know there's alot of people here that know there stuff and have done this mod. I just want to know what everyone else thinks.
I will post pics when im done. Im using 4 inch hose i "borrowed" from work. Its very durable i cant even describe what type of material it is but it will hold up really good. i took a heat gun to it and it didnt do anything. I probably have enough to build two cold air intakes so if it works out well who knows i might make one to sell.
I'll update everyone on the weekend with more info once its all up and running. Thanks again for any info!
