  • Tricking the IAT sensor..

I'm sure a lot of you have seen this mod..buying a little resistor and plugging it into your IAT sensor to make the pcm think it's running cooler..
    my question is..what resistor should I buy for my 97 v6? There's a guide here: http://eric.virginia.com/install_uni...ricker_mod.htm
but is the resistance the same?? Has anyone done this? Thanks.

Do a Search, this has been discussed a lot.

It is a worthless mod - only adjusts the PCM at startup and WOT, and only benefits the engine on hot days. And may shutdown your A/C.

Isnt WOT when you want the extra power? Im not saying it isn't worthless, but I'm curious...

Yes, but on a cold day you will lose power. If someone disables so many PCM inputs, you might as well put a carb on the engine.
