Anybody here ever make their own custom exhaust? Me friend told me about how he made a catback for his truck by himself from piping that he bought from an exhaust shop. He bent/welded all of it himself and it costed hime about $30. He said he could do it for me and that if I wanted he could make it so I have dual outlets coming out on the side of the car in front of the rear tires. Anybody ever done this or even really heard of it?

Im only condsidering doing this becuase as of right now, I dont have enough money to buy the exhuast I want and this will be less than $50 to make with everything.

Any thoughts?

Costed is not a word.
Custom exhausts will not "sound" better on a V6 than any catback already prebent and ready to go that is out there. I would wait.

it'll sound like a dumptruck if you have straight pipes then go out by the rear tires, my friend did it on his mustang and changed it not long after because it was "too loud". I still don't know what that means
EDIT: P.S. Buy my loudmouth!

No, I know that a custom exhaust wont sound better than a prebent exhaust. It will however, sound better than my current stock exhaust because mine now sounds like a@s and its got some leaks. I could pay to have them repaired, or I could buy a new exhuast, but for now I just dont have the money. I'm mainly considering it becuase its gonna cost less than $50 to make.
