On a 3.8, what do you think running dual exhaust all the way back would sound like: headers...3" pipe...40 series flows...dumps or chrome tips out back? Just curious, do you think it would be "beefy louder" or "ricey louder?"

Ay caramba! Dual 3" on a 3.8?! Single 3" is even arguable. I had dual 3" on my blown LT1, and even that may have been a little too much. If you're gonna do duals, get like 2.25" at most. With 3" pipe you're gonna have a heck of a time getting it out the back too, you'll spend an arm and a leg if the shop can even pull it off. With 2.25", you'll probably be able to get both pipes over the passenger side, and do it like that. IMO, flowmasters hanging an inch away from the ground dumping doesn't look so hot. And they won't fit very well in the space under the bumper in the rear for a muffler with a tip on it. If you for some reason are stuck on doing duals, use 2.25" pipe, and get Magnaflow 5x8" mufflers, or use bullets. Those are the only mufflers that you'll be able to even think of getting out the rear. Either that or do dumps with bullets. Well if you mean how the car gets raspy then yes it does get a tad bit up top. Does not sound like rice tho. If i wanted rice i would have bought a 4cly and put a fart can on it.
