I know it's almost impossible to get rid of, but does anyone know what causes that ricey sound on our cars when we put aftermarket exhaust on? I'm guessing it has to do with backpressure, or something along those lines. But does anyone know the real reason we get that fart can popping sound?

upgrading the ignition will get rip of the popping from deceleration. rice sounds are taken care of by either resonated tips or resonators in the pipes along w/ mufflers. you'll always be able to tell a V6 from a V8 tho, because of a slighty twang at higher rpms's that V8's don't have.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
