  • 85mm MAF question

I have a 97 Camaro V6 with a reprogrammed pcm from texas-speed. I am now finding out that we can run an 85mm MAF from SLP or ZZP. The only thing I am now finding out is that on one of the websites it says our cars must be reprogramed with LS1 MAF tables? Is this true? Not only that, I called texas-speed and talked to them (I think Jason)and they said they cannot convert the LS1 tables over to the V6? Does anyone know about the software? Are they just lying to me?
    Thanks,
    Steve

Yes, the tables can be changed over. The main problems will be:

Modifying the existing TB/MAF(deleting the MAF from there to get better flow and not have unneccesary sensors in the intake path)

Wiring the new MAF into the wiring harness

fabricating the intake ducting to get the MAF to fit

With the HP Tuner software they use, the MAF table can be changed. The problem is the LS1 table is bigger than the v6 table(more values). So it would need to be modified to work, which would be alot of work and and would have to be tested on a car and fine tuned.

not going to do the V6 any good at all, our TB is only like 62mm (or is it 65mm ) so you can only pass SO MUCH any way just get a LT1 maf and dial that in
