I tried to install my headers for the second time today... Keyword: tried. Problem: Y pipe bolts. I can get one off on each side but the other ones will not move. Sprayed liquid wrench all over these beasts and they still won't budge. Every once in a while the one on the driver's side will move a little tiny bit but the passenger one is rediculous. Anyone else have this problem? What'd you do to get it? BTW I don't have an airgun or any of those other fancy tools, I'm using a ratchet and sockets and lotz of elbow grease (in fact I'll prolly be sore tomorrow).

header retaining bolts aren't cooperating, sockets can't get them because they aren't deep enough and the wrench takes ages... any ideas?\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99

note to anyone who tries to do header install themselves, make sure you have an efficient cutting tool...\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99

Oh, BTW the gear wrench was too big to fit in some of the spaces. I had to clean up before my dad got home so the camaro is sitting likeless in the driveway with a y pipe clinging only to the cat and exhaust manifolds with just a few bolts left. Not to mention the 13mm wrench that Adam dropped into the y pipe on accident (lol wow). Hope I can get it finished tomorrow. Dunno where I'ma do it. Guess I'll have to drive somewhere open manifolds, keeping it under 2k rpms. Sounds like *** open manifolds, all dumptruckish.\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99

In all honesty, I had more trouble installing the headers than removing my old manifolds. Thing is, I had long sockets i used a breaker bar, WD-40 and thats really about it. Only time i had to cut something was when I had to cut the end of the y-pipe, what was attached to muffler.
Good luck ---Niño---
95\' silver 5 spd

i dont know if i could have done the headers without an air chissel and a huge *** breaker bar. dont forget you can rent tools from autozone for free. they have a nice exhaust pipe cutting tool you might find comes in handy.
