Anyone know the size of the exit form the Y-pipe to the CAT on a 94 3.4L. I got a used z28 catback, and I want to see if I cna jimmy rig something to get it working. It looks like 2.75 in. But I think its 2.5 in.
hehe all I need to do now is *** the z28 emblems and I have a z28 minus the part that really count
The Y-pipe exit is 2.5 inch. If you want to jimmy something illegal, just go to a local muffler shop and ask for a pipe around 22.5 to 23 inches long, 2.75 inches in diameter, stretched on one end to fit 2.75, and shrunk on the other end to fit over 2.5. Then, cut the flange off of the I-pipe, and either clamp the straight pipe in, or weld it on. If you need to know how to get the cat off, let me know. I'll email pics and directions. I have this setup on mine.
