  • Anyone had diffent flowmasters (series)

I have been fighting with my exhaust for the past two years, adding and removing bullets to the i-pipe, switching mufflers, etc, I was curious if anyone has had both a 40series and an 80series on their 3.8? I have had the 80, and hated it. I heard a 3.8 with 40series and thought it sounded good, but it was not realy close by. Anyone heard them both? Thanks,
    John

Hmm. Maybe I need headers. I have a clip of my car, and you can hear the exhaust pretty much as it sounded. I jsut dont think the 80series sounded good.

navyblue2000 had a 40 series on his and I liked the way it sounded. I have an 80 series on mine and headers/high flow cat make a big differance.

I got the 40. When I took it to the muffler shop I asked they guy and he told me the 40 sounds better on our car. I love it.
