The best way is to keep it stock. No kidding.

Yes, even the beloved Triflow has that sound in the upper rpm. It sounds great down low, sort of a weaker stang gt sound, a co-worker asked me it had the 350 in it. But another co-worker (when I had my old system in, asked me if I had a 4banger :( , only difference is he heard it at the higher rpms.

My dad drove it: There is a four lane high way with a thick median in between. I was inside of a parking and he took it around the block, while taking the furthest lane away from me as he drove by (getting on it too), and it did sound like a civic-If I had my eyes closed you could have fooled me. At least it was quieter about it though.

You have to remember its a 6, it is pushing less air than a v8. Even LS1 owners complain of a raspy sound (with SOME exhaust systems). I heard a stock ls1 take off and wasn't impressed...(although I did hear another and it had a deep mean growl to that made my v6 sound like a kitten) .

get either a resonator put in the I-pipe or get resonated tips. those will take care of raspyness at high rpms. they work for me. check out my sig. also, u can tell V6's from V8's only by the twang they all have at high rpm's, no matter what u do.

Does the resonator hurt the nice low end rumble, or just effect the top end? Someone on this board said it hurt his idle and low end sound a bit but that it did help rid of the raspyness.

keep it quiet, if you try and get it loud it will rice, liek the flowmasters, and about the c6 not puching as much air as a v8, this is not completly true, alot of it has to do with the stroke of the engine, the length the cylinder has to go up and down, a v6 short stroke goe sup and down much faster creating the unwanted sound....for example, a harley, loud and mean sounding, no rice, and its not pushing alot of air through its 2 cylinders, its all about the stroke.... ;)

            EDIT: EDELBROCK BABY WOOHOO!!!!

i got American thunder and the idle its not loud at all ...actually its not loud at all threw the whole rpm range but sounds good no raspyness at all i was very happy of course its not like i can trick people and say its an 8 cuz they would know but i dont think my system sounds like a 4 banger at all most likely the resignator very helpful so if you get a exhaust make sure you get a cat-back with a resignator on it..cutting the cat out should add some moise with out the raspyness cuz of the resignator i'll tell you later because i plan on doing it soon and if its raspy i'll inform you
Haha i am better then u all ..not whats up all?

the resonators just kill high-end riceyness, it doesn't affect low end at all. if nething, it smoothes out the gurgling and makes it sound like a airplane motor, really smooth.
