I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but i would like to know what cat back system you guys think is the best for the 3.8. Thank for any help you can give.

i have a hollow cat with borla's stainless 3" cat back exhaust and i love it...has a great sound..looks cool and has been dyno proven to show a gain of 10 horses on an LS1 (i dont know about the V6 though) 12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

all of them will...they all hang low enough to clear the sport appearance package...i think if you wanted the center mounted exhaust then you would have to get the rear section to go with that...but other than that they will all fit12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

Ive had a Flowmaster and the Texas Speed Rumbler and i like the Rumbler way better. It ran faster and sounded better.Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98

does the rumber have a muffler? cause thats what a flow is. if it isnt, that would explain the ET gain

If I can just jump in on this thread with a question.
I've installed Pacesetter Headers, and I have a Fowmaster muffler, but the Cat and I-pipe are still stock. I'm planning on replacing the cat with a high flow item, but i'm not sure what size I need to go for.
Any recommendations?96 Teal Firebird
Colchester, Essex, UK
www.centrestage.free-online.co.uk

Full 3" exhaust with a Carsound cat and a Hooker areo-chamber muffler. Much less interior noise than the Slowmaster and a nice little growl at idle.2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London.
