        here is what bugs me..

They say that they are using Garolite instead of the normal "PHENOLIC INSULATORS" because while ratining the same thermal absorbsion properties it is more resistnt to chemiclas etc etc etc. but from a study I have read a 1/4 inch phenolic spacer blocked the same amount of heat as a 1/2 inch spacer. This means that already your adding more hight then needed. I would feel better about it if it were a 1/4 inch peice. The other thing to consider is this. Will your stock bolts have enough thread to take up that extra 1/2 inch?

there are a few other things that bug me. but it's getting far into things like flow rate, thermal expantion and volumetric efficiency reduction that are getting to be over my head. I am going to ahve to oursource the help of some friends and see what some people dramticly smarter then me says.

well.. The concensus is..It will work, but probably not much. There are not really any adverse side effects, but the gains would probably be marginal at best. The only real good way that it would work is kinda the same idea as a low temp thermo. It will still get just as hot with time, but takes longer to get there. If you can keep it cool you will probably yeild some gains. The theory is sound. but practicality is low. I would conisder the TB spacer something fast and easy. But to warrent the intake spacer I would say it would only be worth it after you have exhausted all the "better" mods.
