factory exhaust broke= dual exhaust

ok so my factory tail pipe broke off and i have decided to go ahead and get dual exhaust for my 98 gold camaro. i called around and one place told me 205 and i asked them if it was flowmaster and he said "something to that effect" whats all that mean but he wasnt the exhaust man he said that the exhaust guy would be there monday. and i called another place and they said 185(flowmaster dunno what series though) but i gotta buy tips which cost 10-20 bux. this sounds kinda cheap should i do it or what

Are you looking at just a rear section? (muffler and tailpipes/tips only) Both of those prices seem a bit high for that, even installed. If you search through the exhaust section you can find tons of info on cat-backs, find one you like and shop around.

the prices sound about right to me. i paid back in the day 225 for just my flow and tips [img]smile.gif[/img]

then it is a catback and will give you better performance than just the muffler section. i'm guessing it is the 2.5 inch catback. it will give decent gains and wont rasp. if you just want a little extra performance and dual exhaust that would be fine. if you want an even cheaper dual exhaust get a V8 take off muffler.

thanks yall make things so complicated because yall diis one exhaust and someone else likes it vice versa. ERRGHHH yall make too much stuff runn through my headddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw bout how much horses will this give me and can i feel the diff.????????
