what my car performs better with. The first thing im going to do is put the headers on put the 3" y pipe on and run a 3" straight pipe instead of a cat, the straight pipe will either go into the i pipe that comes with my 3" triflow setup or i will just run one long a** piece that will take place of the cat and i pipe and that piece will go in the over the axle piece and the over the axle piece will go in the muffler. Now would i get better results by using one long 3" piece to take the cat and the i pipes place or should i just use a straight pipe just long enough to replace cat the have that piece go in the i pipe that comes with the triflow? Just so you all know i am gonna get the 3" triflow thats for a single cat lt1 95. I have a question about this also, would i lose any power from getting the triflow that was designed for the v8 and not the v6? I am asking this because b&b custom makes their exhausts specifically for the vehicles and i thought maybe i would lose gains because i dont have the v8. I would like to hear all opinions on this. The other thing i was gonna try was just run the headers and have 3" pipe coming off of each header to have true dual. The pipe would only be about 4-5 ft long and would come out the side the short length is to reduce the travelof the exhaust flow. Please let me know what you all think would be my best bet for the strip and tell me why you chose what you had to say thanks alot guys

whatsup blue, if your y-pipe that came w/ headers is really 3in. then use it. i have rk sports and the y-pipe that came w/is good size, but i don't think it's 3in. I don't know if you want to go that big. if somebody could tell me how big my y-pipe is that would help me give you advice. anyways however big my y-pipe is i like the results. a 3in catback does wonders for top end. you should use the i pipe from b+b and use a 3in. high flow cat or 2.5in. straightpipe.don't use one long piece they will just have to bend it w/a crinkle bend. also i don't think it matters which engine your catback is made for, the pipes are probably just slightly bent different the mufflers are the same so it will sound the same.you are gonna luv the new system your car will sound like a beast. i don't know your mods but you might want to get some 3.42's w/lsd and a cold air ind.96 wht. firebird 5sd. rk sport headers,3in.catco, spintech catback,CAI,FRA,3.42/lsd 180*t-stat, centerforce dual friction clutch, ls1 driveshaft, polyurethane trans. mount.
01 blk. z28 m6, borla exht, lid, k
+n, sfc., chrome 18in. y2k c5 wheels.

A question for bluecamaro; are you having any clearance problems with the 3" Y pipe?? I didn't think a 3" would fit and would be too big and scrape the ground alot.
