well first off the only people that will ask you if your car is an 8 are people that dont know whata good 8 sounds like lol i have NEVER confused a 6 for and 8 also anyone trying to sell you a muffler will tell you that it is better than the other brands like he is going to say "hey man pay more for this muffler even though dynomax and flowmaster are better mufflers" haha im not ripping on the muffler I'm sure its great i'm just saying take other peoples words not the sellsperson

I got a dynomax, always thought they were the cheapest and best. Anyways while we are on this topic of which has a deeper sound im gonna pop this question out. I seen this mod for an LS1 it's basically a small copper tube that crosses from the 2 pipes on the right. 2 holes are drilled in the pipes (the right exhaust tail pipe, and the pipe that heads to the front) and the copper tube is welded on to them. I heard this creates a more rumbly sound but I have never tried it. And not that many 6 people probably know about it. Has anyone heard of it or tried it?

Hey does anyone have sound clips of there cars? If so could you please post them? I to have REALLY been wanting to get an exhaust system on my car, but I am unsure what system will sound best to me and the only way for me to figure it out is to hear the different systems. My friend had a raven on his V6 sonoma and it sounded a lot better than stock and was always a low rumble, i like it. Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm leaning towards the Flowmaster 80 Series. Also when i was at Midas the guy told me that an exhaust will not increase horsepower. I thought it did, can anyone help me out here.

Ok, I see there are two different inlet sizes I can get on the 80 Series Flowmaster. One is 2.5" and the other is 3". I know the stock inlet is like 2.25". I hear people saying if I go with the 3" I'll lose backpressure. What will backpressure effect? Also will I have to get a new cat if I go with the 3"? Will the 3" sound better than the 2.5"? What would you recommend and why?
