okay, i know there's like a million posts about all different kinds of exhaust systems, but nothing really answers my question good enough... that question is, out of the cat-back systems i'm considering, which sounds best throughout the whole RPM range, gives best flow, and just overall performs best?

    the ones i'm considering are:
    -slp loudmouth
    -magnaflow
    -texas rumbler
    -borla
    -b&b tri-flo
-corsa (if there's a way to install one on a 3.8)

i've heard that flowmaster can be kind of restrictive compared to others though and that it doesn't sound good at higher RPMs... is that true for the american thunder too or is it just a bunch of crap?

Dude personally I'd go with BORLA. But I'm kinda biased since that's what I have. It sounds awesome at all RPMs. I think borla costs the most but I'm not sure. Try and get some sound clips cause not everybody like the same exhaust sound. And for best flow do a search on google or something and try to find some real stats or comparisons. That just my $0.02. I hope you like whatever you choose.

I'd say go with the flowmasters, loudmouth, or TSP rumbler since they are inexpensive and still sound good, then take the money you've saved and apply it towards some pacesetter headers.

You could buy one of those expensive ones, they may net you all of 1rwhp more than the others do for more than double the price; Or you could buy one of the less expensive (flowmaster is easily the most popular exhaust for our cars - obviously it's doing well) and buy some headers and get more hp from your full exhaust, plus you'll get the nice deep sound which little to no rasp that *every* V6 Catback will have.

yea i like my magnaflow. Although the best overall is probably B&B triflow but youll pay for that one.

yeah, i was hoping not to spend too much. i would really like borla or b&b, but i don't wanna spend 500-600 on my exhaust.
