  • Cutout on stock exhaust?

What do you guys think? Horribly bad idea or ok?

I currently run an open y-pipe from the CAT back when I race just wondering if a cutout woudl be horribly bad.

Traditional spot just before going over the rear axle. IS it ok with the stock 2.25 in. I-pipe?

I used to run a cutout on my stock i-pipe back in the day. It doesn't sound too bad. I just got tired of all the noise on long highway trips.

ehh... problem with before the CAT is on my 3.4L killed my times too free flowing...

Also would set of SES with the O2s, just running an open pipe after the CAT set off my SES light.

and I think a little more backpressure might help me out. I think I might do It I hear its $80 installed including cutout here in 0-town

let me know how it turns out before the cat. That's how I want to do mine when I get it.

                Eric,
One time on the line my "cat" fell off since it was so horribly clamped in place and I gained a full 1mph from it into a headwind, so I don't think the 3.8 would mind the extra flow. Nothing like the 3.4.
