  • Pacesetter install kit?

I am about to order pacestter headers for my 3.8. I am getting a shop to install them. Do i need to buy an install kit or different gaskets?

i dont believe so. you can buy different gaskets if you spring a leak in the ones you get

I think you're gonna need the header bolts. (Not too sure though) Mine did not come w/ the bolts

Mine came with the gaskets and bolts, everything you need. If they don't have emissions testing in AL, you may consider having the EGR outlet on the header just welded closed to prevent leaks. That's what I ended up doing after trying to deal with the leak.

                Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

Im pretty sure no headers that you purchase come with the gasket but you can always use you're old one at least thats what I did.

headers come with gaskets and bolts, although pacesetter just had a huge GP go thru them and they are having troubles with the y pipe fitment, they might have a fix for that though, but it might take awhile to get your headers. Good luck, I hope they fixed the y pipe problem

Ok Pacesetter headers come with new bolts (header and ypipe), new gaskets, and thats all you need. The Egr is a unit that prevents ping at cruising conditions. To find where the leak is that I was talking about find the flexible metal hose that goes from your driver side manifold/header to the EGR unit. The leak occurs at the rubber piece were tubing meets the header. So far I haven't found a way of fixing it short of welding/jbing it in place lol.
