I plan on getting turbo eventually, I'm trying to get the smaller things done first tho, exhaust, intake, etc are primarly what I want to start with, mostly because my car sounds like garbage right now.

My next question is, if I go with the 2 inch X-pipe dumped from the axles with bullet mufflers, what should i do as far as Cat, headers, etc. Should I gut or remove the cat or put in a hi flo cat? Should I go with CIA headers or long tube headers of a different brand, or not long tube at all?

Are these moroso spiral flows considered bullet mufflers? or should I go with something else?

    Thanks a bunch

unless i am mistaken there arent any long tube headers for 3.8's. get some pacesetter coated headers. i say go with a pair of hi flo cats just to be safe.

Yea I just read the guide on this website for intake and exhaust and I have to say it helped tremendously. Saves me a lot of questions, so I know I'm going with CIA headers, and going hi flo cat instead of gutting it.

If I wanted to still go custom true dual X pipe how would I go about getting mandrel bent piping to do it? Or is that not possible? Are the gains i'd get from a custom made X pipe set up worth giving up a single catback mandrel system or on? Maybe I could find a mandrel bent x pipe system and just have it adjusted to fit my f body? Also if I go true duals, I'd end up needing two high flo cats, correct?

Dude you're gonna make some bank on your deployment to the desert. Why don't you just buy the FFF turbo kit. Some of the people I work with came back with like $7k. You should get the Borla cat-back, carsound hi flow cat, and the FFF trbo kit. You could easily afford it with the bank you'll make over there.
Or buy an LS1 and be faster stock... </font>
Umm why dont you go to the FFF site...Your sadly mistaken on being "faster" stock, remember the HP listed in the site is RWHP not FWHP a 5psi boosted v6 can hang / beat a LS1. Thx
