• ANYONE ACTUALLY USE O2 SIMMS ON THEIR 3.8? PLEASE LOOK WITHIN

I was going to use o2 simms on my 96 3.8 but am not to familier with them. Do the o2 simms just plug into the o2 wiring harness? Do you have to screw them in the o2 holes? I plan on getting rid of cat and i want to know if i could use an o2 simm pre cat and post cat without throwing an ses light. Will the pcm have good readings of the o2 if i use the simms? Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

All you do is plug them in, and you only need one post cat :D leave the pre cat o2 in And you will not have to worry about the yellow/orange glow of the SES light. You can put one pre cat but there is no need for it. The pre/post cat o2's do not read for air/fuel mix, all they are there for is mainly emissions :D

Edit: Oh yeah, I am using an o2 simm :D

Yeah, no need to put a simm pre cat. As for the hole for the post cat sensor, either leave the sensor in there and let the wire hang or cut it, or you can do what I did and have the muffler shop guy fill in the hole.
