Sup everyone, was thinking about it in my sleep one night and thought I'd share with you this new project i'm trying to do. A few of you know that I thive and strive for new ram air projects. I while ago I used the peltier effect in my ram air, which runs off a battery onto an iron rod wound in copper coils, one side is extremely cold and the other is hot, (yes the hot side is headed down by the bottom of the engine bay) this method works great in the summer but since it is winter I took it out. My latest sort of works like a vacuum. It took me a while to create. I disassembled a few vacuums around the house and I took a custom tube from my pontiac to rigt up a series of 2 motors so it sucks the air from the outside into it and blows it in to my engine. This works very effectively but I don't know how much this is doing. I know it's more effective then just "regular ram air" which barely even works. It's just less restictive then the stock air box. You would only see gains over 100mph probably. Once I rig up my temp sensor and air/speed gauges I will be able to tell the extra amount of airflow and i'll get some pics up and some info on how I did this for those interested. For my new project, i must be pretty crazy. But I kind of dreamt this idea in my head at night. My friends helping on me. We're trying to rig up something with the same method but more effective. We want to hook up a couple of small air bottles and a very small air compressor to the ram air and as the vacuum pushes air into the system, the compressor will just compress it, etc... right now we just have it so you can remotly open it from the inside of your car, but we're trying to get an automatic setup for it to be constant... Anyone think this is a good idea or am I just crazy?
