Has anyone here put an LS1 low restriction airbox lid on a 3800? What material did you use for tubing to run between the airbox lid and the throttle valve?

Okay, well no matter what everyone says it can be done.
I have the Volant intake for the LS1, and all you need to do is get some dryer hose (ya know, washer and dryer dryer hose) and route it from the lid to the TB. And get two clamps so that it will stay and you can secure it tightly. You'll have to twist the tubing a bit, but that's it. Big task, lemme tell ya! :D

it also depends on what year your car is. if it's a 98 then you will have more bends in your hose.. if you have a 99+ it should be easy.. given that our airboxes are the same as the LS1's... unfortunately I don't know about that one..-Brad
98 Firebird - gone from mod mode to keep it running and useable mode.

I have an LS1 lid. I use a 4 inch air intake hose from advanced auto parts. Cost about 11 bucks. You bend may be about 25 degrees.
Ordered the lid by accident. Now I'm glad I have it because I think the outlet on the lid is somewhat larger than the outlet on the 3800 lids.
