I know this topic has been discussed numerous times but i'm still having a hard time finding the answer I'm looking for. I have a 2000 A4 Camaro w/ the 3" Borla. I'm looking to get the pacesetter headers and figured mine as well do the cat at the same time. I'm trying to do a setup w/ a cat that wouldn't require any welding if its even possible. I've heard bad things about the Carsound cats and I've also heard its a problem w/ the s-pipe after the cat. I'm also not trying to spend an arm and a leg. What kind of setup, if any could I do? Pacesetter headers to possible the Pacesetter 3" Hi Flow cat to the SLP Loudmouth Install Kit? Only thing I am unsure of its the triangular flanges on that cat (cause if I'm going to do w/o welding I would need a double flanged cat. ANY opinions and help please!

car sound cats are good cats. trust me. weld that crap up. it wouldnt be that much. it will leak on you and you'll be kicking yourself later cause it embarrassing. if your going to bolts thing up with a flange, your going to have to get the flanges welded on anyways also, i dont know of anyone that sells flanged cats...that i have seen

Pacesetters Cats have flanges on them, they're just triangular. Which has me wondering if they'll even bolt up to the headers/s-pipe.

I have a Carsound/ Magnaflow cat. Works fine, no problems.

I bought some stainless steel band clamps and clamped everything. 3" Pacesetters to 3" cat to 3" S-pipe(came with the LT1 Magnaflow) seems to be working fine. No leaks. Pretty easy to swap out the cat for a strait pipe, then put the cat back in for inspection.
