  • Just installed Pacesetters

Last night my dad and I installed my Pacesetter headers. Boy what a pain, 8.5 hrs to do. My dad is also an ex auto mechanic and currently a aircraft mechanic. Overall it wasnt too bad, cept the EGR didnt line up, so we hogged the holes out. Also i didnt get any header bolts, so i have to order a set of Stage 8s. Over all really happy and it sounds mean as hell now:)

I couldn't find any stage 8's that would fit our cars...at least my car.

I used the LS1 exhaust manifold bolts beacuse they use a 10mm head and it makes installation a lot easier.

I called Summitt and asked for a set of stage 8's for a 3.4, he sent me a set of 2.8's but they worked

Dude, I had the same problems.
What really annoyed me was that it would appear that Pacesetter don't seem to have made sure these things fit properly.
I mean, the front tube on the drivers side obstructs the steering column and the EGR tube doesn't line up.

My steering coloum os fine, but the EGR didnt line up at all. We had to hog out the holes to make it work
