  • 2.5 tips on 3 inch loud mouth, bottle neck???

Hey, was just wondering something. I'm leaning heavily on the SLP loudmouth exhaust system. Just a few questions though I hope I can get some answers on.

    1. Won't the 2.5 tips on the 3 inch louthmouth piping cause a bottle neck affect, lowering performance? I want the dual/dual tips, but I'd rather have the 3.5 slashes if the 2.5 dual/duals are going to bottleneck me.

    2. Why does the Borla and B&B tri flow cost so much? I've seen nothing about their systems that sets them apart or above the other systems, yet they cost a ton more, any body have an explaination for this?

First off, you'll like the sound of the TSP Rumbler better, because it incorporates an 18" bullet muffler into the I-pipe instead of a resonator. This kills alot of the V6 rasp we are used to hearing. For the same price or less, you get as much or better flow, and betetr sound:)

Also, no the 2.5" pipes don't start until right after the axle where the 3" splits to dual 2.5's. So it's not a real restriction.

uhm, that and since the loud mouth goes from a 3" single pipe to a dual 2.5" pipe you wont have any bottlenecking period.

i think borla, b&b, and corsa are so expensive b/c of the tips. corsa and borla sell their tips seperately and they cost $300/pair!

                corsa tips
                borla (very bottom)

also, is the tsp rumbler 3'' all the way out to the tips, or does it split to 2.5'' at the "y" section? i want to get the rumbler exhaust and keep my b&b tips, but i think my tips have a 2.5'' inlet.

The reason can't be that they are stainless steel, SLP louthmouth is Stainless steel as well and it's over 300 dollars cheaper than the borla.

Yea that's what I kind of figured. Think I'm going to have to go with the loudmouth. I want the stainless steel or sure.

i would go with the rumbler, its a much better sound, and your will have something that not every fbody owner has. either way you will deffinately get a performance gain.
