• AIr charger functional hood.

Ok so I was looking at that link for the aircharger and am thinking about getting it. Will the SS Ram Air hood work with it or do I need to get the Ultra Z hood to get the full benefit?

Also I'm very confused about all the possible things you can do to your intake system. I don't want to miss any possible mod, and at the same time I don't want to buy two different things thinking they do something different, when in reality they do the same thing and I just wasted hudrends of dollars. If I get this aircharger, what else do I need to do to the intake to get the best results out of it? Should I still get a Ram air kit or is does the aircharger replace that? Should I still get cold air intake? Whisper lid? Etc... I have no idea.

From what I understand from its description, it replaces the lid...so no whisper lid.
That being the case I don't see how a CAI could really help...since the air wouldnt be going directly in (since theres no lid).
The Ultra Z hood and this should get plenty of air into your car.

Will the aircharger work with a 2000 camaro? Was looking on the mods page and the K&N FIPK is only for 93-95 models... :/

The air charger is different from the FIPK. Check K&N's website.

Yes, definately get the air charger. Skip the cold air intake (you can read more bad than good about those on this board) and the whisper lid. I don't know about the camero hoods but I have an SLP HO Ram Air hood and an air charger on my Firebird and I gained 25.5 HP over the stock hood and regular K&N filter. 16 HP was because of the air charger. I tell anyone who asks to get the air charger because I like it that much.

the problem that the aircharger does not pass the cali smog. What I want to do is still have the ram air funtional, aircharger, and the slp hood. Can I install it, then when i need to smog it reinstall the stock intake lid .

You'd have to reinstall the whole original intake for the test but that only takes 20 minutes so it isn't a big deal.

I don't know how the test in Cal. but if it is just a person looking at it, they'll never be able to tell. The only difference I've noticed is that the exhaust is now louder (more air going through).

If I were you, I'd get it and if you're worried about the test, just reinstall the old one before the test. It is a pretty simple install if you follow the directions.
