  • What Do Ya'll Think?

I originally wanted the Borla exhaust, but decided that it was not worth it being over $600. So I was leaning toward the SLP Loudmouth because I wanted something that was loud. Now, I might have a chance to get the Borla cat-back for around the same price as the SLP Loudmouth would be. If ya'll were in my situation, what would you do? Also, if I do get the Borla I will also get a high-flow cat. If I get SLP Loudmouth I will not because I dont want it to be THAT loud.

def go with borla. the loudmouth, regardless of what people tell you, sounds like crap on any v6. sounds decent up until like 3000rpm, then sounds like a rabid weedwacker.

I think it should be made a law that loud exhaust is reserved for V8 and V12 cars only. any 4, 6, or 10 just sound like crap with exhaust on them that is loud.

i disagree with a high flow cat and headers the SLP setup sounds great. and flows much more than the borla setup. Definitly go with with SLP. you wont regret it.

loudmouth sounds awesome up until around 3500 rpms. But if you have a high flow cat and headers on it, its incredible at all rpm's. Borla is nice but its too passive for me. all depends on what you like. so i say slp.

              I love my borla...get it
If you want it quieter you can put the block off plate (you get 3 sizes) and if you want it louder just take it out.
              Great system

yeah thats because of the name. borla is a very nice system and i agree it does sound better but imho get the slp and get the best flow there is. the other option is the texas rumbler (it flows just as well as the slp but sounds less raspy). i dont think the extra 300 dollars is worth it for what you get out of the borla.

Dude BORLA all the way. I've had mine for 2 years now and it sounds awesome. As soon as I get my headers and high flow cat on, I'll post up some sound clips for everyone.

I have the SLP exhaust, and it is very, very nice. More than satisfied me.

                        HOWEVER

If you have a chance to get a superior exhaust (I.E. Borla) for a similar price...

Even if I didn't have the Borla I would make this argument. How can someone honestly say the loudmouth flows better. They both have 3" mandrel bent piping, but the borla can be used much like a cutout...NOTHING restricts airflow in the borla.
