The past couple of months I have been running with my block off plate off. Witch I thought sounded really good. It eventually got old so I put the plate back on. I know its not just the fact that Im not used to it being not so loud but it reall sounds stock except at idle.

Well that'll happen. In my experience, I ran with my cap off for a good 5 months and then when I capped it back up my flowmaster was sooo quiet and smooth. I think your ears get so used to loudness of your capped exhaust sounds way different.99 3.8 Camaro
Intake Mods: K&N filter, Whisper lid, free ram air, !air silencer, !maf screen
Exhaust Mods: Flowmaster 80 series, 3\" I-pipe, 3\" Cutout
Suspension: Intrax Springs (2\" drop)
Misc.: Fan switch mod, Hayden transmission cooler

Sorry somewhere along the way I forgot how to make complete sentences, basically what I mean is, you think your regular exhaust sounds good and decently loud, then you uncap it for a bit and get used to that sound so when you cap it back up it sounds more quiet than you remember, nothing has changed as far as the car goes its all in your head. When I cap mine back up after awhile I get used to how my actual muffler sounds again.99 3.8 Camaro
Intake Mods: K&N filter, Whisper lid, free ram air, !air silencer, !maf screen
Exhaust Mods: Flowmaster 80 series, 3\" I-pipe, 3\" Cutout
Suspension: Intrax Springs (2\" drop)
Misc.: Fan switch mod, Hayden transmission cooler
