  • WOW, $90 for tips....

I want to change the tips on the 'maro because I have the slash cut 'truck' tips that are starting to rust out. I want quad, square, rolled tips (look like Borla but rolled and non-intercooled). I talked to my local exhaust guy and he said $90 for tips + install. To me, that sounds WAY too expensive. What do you guys think. Thanks.

but BLLDOGG, aren't the ones you're looking at intercooled? i saw that in a post somewhere.

i'd say 90 isn't too bad. the tips i want are the intercooled ones, 300-something each.

          Borla Dual-Square "Intercolled" Tips.

          $141.95 EACH

They look bad-as*, but very expensive.

I don't want intercooled. Intercooled to me seems to poserish.

I love my Borla (and tips) and wouldn't trade it for the world... but if I didn't have it and wanted exhaust tips, I wouldn't buy the Borla tips.

The intercooler part looks cool brand new, but over time they just collect a lot of soot and is very hard to clean in between the intercooler parts. I can't even get a toothbrush in there to clean it out. Eventually, they don't even look like intercooler tips when all the soot builds up.

Don't waste $350 on Borla tips, IMHO.

Maybe its just me...but I'm not a big fan of people getting just the tips without the exhaust.
                    Just me though I 'spose.

I'm totally with you Floyd. I have a flowmaster 80 cat-back. I do NOT want the borla look, I just something better looking than the 'truck' look. I love the way quad squares look.
