• Ordered my exhaust

I finally broke down and ordered some exhaust for my car. My OEM catalytic converter needed to be replaced. So I figured I would just get a high flow cat. Then, since I was ordering a high flow cat I figured I would just go ahead and order a cat-back!

Ordered the Texas speed rumbler (without tips).
Got some quad tips from fasttoys.net (STRA25)
Ordered the high flow cat from summitracing.com (cto-6007)
Ordered the install kit from SLP. (30045)

Now since I have ordered from 4 different places I just have to wait patiently for all of it to arrive.

I don't even want to think about how much money I just spent. However, I just received a 14K/year INCREASE (33%) at work so I figured I would treat myself!

You make it sound like it was a bad thing.

Well, I am a cheap bastard. So it takes me a while to talk myself into spending a lot of money Heck, it took me a little more than a year to talk myself into a gear swap. It only took 6 months to talk myself into the exhaust. So I am getting better.

Computer Programmer's make that much!?!
A computer science degree is your friend Even before the increase I just got I should have been driving a Z28 or SS. Now I really have no excuse. Except as I just mentioned I am a cheap bastard
I have a feeling one will be in my driveway in less than a year though...

Anyway, I just ordered that stuff a couple of hours ago and I am already getting impatient. Where is it?

Awesome!

I have a feeling the bottleneck will be SLP. When I ordered my CAI from them I remember it taking a long time to get it.

I will see what I can do. Hosting won't be a problem. Recording will be the hard part. Maybe I can borrow a laptop from one of my friends.

It will probably be a couple of weeks until I get everything. So may be a bit.

wow, that's the setup i was looking to get, except with the smoked oval tips that come with the rumbler... sound clips will definitely help me decide whether or not to get this setup. you might have made my exhaust shopping a lot easier :D .

I wish that I had something to capture sound. I have a video camera but no video capture card, and I have a dig camera that doesnt record sound. Sorry guys.

As I figured SLP is the bottle neck. The email from them says they will SHIP it in 7-10 days. Why does it take them so long?

All the other parts are on their way. As of a few minutes ago my cat-back is in Oklahoma city, my exhaust tips departed Kansas City this morning, and my high flow cat is in Eagan, MN. All these parts are scheduled for delivery Monday and Tuesday. SLP hasn't even shipped. Losers.

Yes, I know am not a patient person

Everything I mention above plus shipping was $485.
Probably looking at another $100 or so for install.
