i've seen two camaro's in person that have the pipes coming out the side in front of the rear tires, both had true dual exhaust. i've seen another camaro that had the tips coming out the sides behind the rear tires, and he just bent the pipes from his muffler to exit out the sides instead of the rear. you will lose ground clearance having the tips in front of the rear tires, but it looks like **** bending the pipes from your normal set-up to come out behind the rear tires.

i have personal seen a Z28 with it coming out the rear quarter panels. looked real clean. he had a black plate surounding the dual tips on each side. it blended real well cause his car was black w/ flames.

this might sound stupid, but its just a thought. what about nascar style boom tubes. wouldn't lose much ground clearance because the tubes are almost flat not round.
