Ok guys, need to complete my exhaust setup. I have a cutout before my cat so there is no need for it to be loud. All I want is deep, smooth and pleasant, preferably single 3" in dual 2.5" out. Any suggestions? My first guess is dynomax super turbo

Super Turbo or a takeoff, I agree with you guys. My Ultraflo is louder than you want.Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"

Loud doesn't bother me I just don't want it to open up and rasp. If I want real loud I just run open headers lol. Just getting sick of no muffler and tones of noise/rasp all the time. Also I didn't think takeoff was 3"...00\' firebird v6 5spd
201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq
\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"
WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

Dynomax Super Turbo. I just have a 2.5" inlet dual 2.5" outlets super turbo on my stock I-pipe. I should be installing my new I-pipe sometime next week. The Super Turbo sounds really good. It is kind of queit right now though. There are also some people on this board who have the Edelbrock RPM series muffler and love it. The Edelbrock is louder than the Super Turbo though.1996 Polo Green Metallic Camaro:
SLP CAI, Carsound/Magnaflow 3\" in/out cat, Flowmaster 2.5\" cat-back... sounds great

I utterly despised my flowmaster muffler I had. I will NEVER buy one of those mufflers again lol.00\' firebird v6 5spd
201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq
\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"
WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

It does matter to me lol. If I pay for the rest of the system to be 3" mandrel bent piping, 3" ypipe, 3" cat, why would I finish with a 2 1/2in muffler?00\' firebird v6 5spd
201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq
\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"
WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

it wouldnt really wouldnt make a difference if its 2 1/2. the only thing im saying is that you can have a higher flowing muffler than our stock but a more quiet smooth noise. you can still throw a 3" pipe on it and 3" tail pipes w/ tips

kinda missing the point of the 3" piping lol. Just because a muffler flows better then stock doesn't make it worth anything. If it flows too much less then the piping leading to it the muffler becomes a horrible drag on the exhaust system. Although the take off muffler would meet the sound requirements I have it wouldn't compliment my current exhaust at all and would in fact hamper it and make me feel like I wasted alot of money on my exhaust lol.00\' firebird v6 5spd
201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq
\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"
WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk
