  • i need help picking an exhaust

i need some help choosing an exhaust for my car. i want a cat back, and i want to improve the sound of my car, but i don't want it to be obnoxiously loud. i just want it to sound deeper and a little bit louder. i was considering a b&b triflo, borla, or dynomax, but haven't looked into them too much, those are just some names i have heard a lot about. do you guys have any suggestions? and if any one has sound clips of their exhaust i would really appreciate that too. if you can't post your clips you can email them to me at dionysus119@hotmail.com thanks.

This should be on exhaust and intake forum but...

If you don't want obnoxious note stay away from B&B, Borla and Flows. Those exhaust are LOUD.

      #1. Wrong forum.
#2. Flowmaster 80 series is what I had on the Firechicken w/ resonated tips. Sounded great, looked great (there are pics on my site if you want to take a look-see) and not to spendy as well.

my b&b catback only is semi loud- a lot louder than stock, sounds great thruout the range (only so so when in neutral) but its about as loud as my freinds headers 3"cat borla small plate. im gettin his headers so hopefully that'll open her up a bit....u cant go wrong with borla or b&b just if your wallet can handle it, mines got so much balls to it, i coulnt live w/stock exhaust, i ordered it 7 hours after i bought the car....

There are quite a few exhaust systems out there, to get an idea of what eachone sounds like listen to clips on all of them. I know everyone on here has a clip of what almost every muffler or setup sounds like. Don't buy something until you've heard it. Otherwise you might be disappointed.

I've heard a B&B exhaust from my old friend on his v6 camaro, it was louder than my dynomax.

** Dynomax is twice as loud as stock exhaust on idle but on WOTs its LOUD. :D

Don't hold your breath. I've been waiting over a year for that to happen here. Unless an "I'll post them soon" with no results is good enough for you.

Word to that. Least expensive and best sounding by far.

I have 2 agree w/ Mcaanda, a 3" cat-back w/ a flowmaster 80 series muffler and quad resonated tips sounds really sweet. very smooth and unique kind of sound.
