• SLP Loudmouth loudness level?

Alright I'm looking at getting this exact setup

http://www.camarov6.com/ubb/ultimate...;f=25;t=005644

I just want to know just how loud this exhaust is. I live in an area that is pretty close with no open space whatsoever. I cant be pissing my neighbors off, lol. But I really like the sound that the exhaust puts off. If this exhaust is too loud what else would you recommend? I was looking at flows or a rumbler. I really want to be unique cuz everone is my school has flows with their 305 camaros or mustangs. they all sound the same. anything unique?

I have also already done a search for this and didn't find anything to my exact question.

Also remember I am on a 3.4

Also one more thing does the fact that I have a 3.4 eliminate a lot of rasp up top? I'm not looking for a v8 sound cuz I know thats impossible on a 6 but I have heard some of the 3.8's, lol. I hear the 3.4 sounds better.

Ah you're interested in my setup... well if you don't want LOUD then don't get it cuz that's exactly what it is, no lie! When I get on it you can hear me from several blocks away. You probably will make your neighbors angry especially if they live right on top of you and you start up your car while they're in bed.

Flowmaster is a generic sound, I think it's been done too much personally, the rumbler is brand new and not many people are gonna have that. From what people say it's supposed to be a good flowing system like the Loudmouth but a little tamer because of the bullet muffler in place of SLPs straight through type resonator on the LM. Basically the TSP Rumbler is a dynomouth (LM with the resonator replaced by a bullet muffler). A lot of people prefer it because it reduces or even eliminates the high end rasp most LM users make.

They're all similarly priced so really it's up to you. Look at the tips because that's the part you're gonna see everyday. In my opinion Flowmaster Tips < LM <= TSP Rumbler.

B&B Triflows and Borla are both cost almost twice as much as the three above but they do have more of a refined/mellow sound to them. Their tips are both pretty sweet, you get what you pay for I suppose. Some other options are Hooker, Dynomax, Magnaflow, and the SLP Dual/Duals that they put on the Firehawks/SS's.

Do some more searching because if you can't be too loud you're probably out of the market for a mufflerless system like the LM or Rumbler.

Tht loud mouth is close as you can get to straight pipes .
I live in the city and would personaly go with my setup. It's loud but not to loud at low rpms, and it screams when you get on it.

also if your runing na i would go with this one so you keep some back preasher so you dont loose all your low end .(yes i know my spelling is horable.

or why not say buck you to your neighbors and your backpressure and get this http://www.texas-speed.com/item_deta...ProductID=1241 :D . actually if you want a tamer exhaust that gives good gains the one speed freak suggested is great unless your really get into modding your car.

no duals dont ever sound good, i put that up as a joke. i'm going to use that on my car but thats only because i fits in with my twin turbo design. the exhausts that sound best on our cars are the 2.5" exhausts but they dont offer quite the performance gains of 3" systems.
