• Loudmouth & Hi-Flow Cat

I've been thinking about this for a while, especially since Christmas is around the corner. Has anyone thought of getting Loudmouth and a hi-flow cat, or does anyone know what it sounds like. I currently just have Flowmaster, no idea what series, just what the muffler shop put on. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

sam in austin has a loudmouth. i have never heard it, but he says its nice. there is a nice sounding clip on here somewhere. i know scott black had it and he hated it so much he took it off in days.

I've got both the Loudmouth and the 3" high flow cat and i like the sound/performance a lot. Since you have a 3.8 its going to sound somewhat different (haven't heard it on a 3.8) than mine though. On my car the sound is very similar to a v8 at idle and at low rpms and LOUD way up top. I'm not sure who here has it on a 3.8 but you should probably get some feedback from 3.8 engines ; exhaust supposedly sounds better on the 3.4 due to the order in which the cylinders fire. I've not heard many 3.8's at all though so i can't be sure about it. But it does sound amazing on my car! Good luck.

edit: here's the thread with my original review, although it sounds much better now than when i wrote it. Sound has mellowed quite a bit . Rasp has disappeared. Does have a 'tinny' sound at WOT above 5000 rpms but overall i can't complain about this setup. Very happy. Also has a clip but its from a v8.

        Hey Nino What's going on?

Yeah, I have the loudmouth, stock cat, sounds reallly nice, LOUD, get's a little higher pitched up top, sounds a bit like a extensively worked Supra IMO, but definately not like a weedwhacking Civic. Downlow it compares to my buddies Z28 with a flowmaster muffler.

Deftonedthree I have a few vids but nothing great.
