I have a bad catalytic convertor and I am getting ready to replace it with a high flow one (as well as a texas rumbler cat back).
Since I have been driving around with a bad cat for a little while should I change the o2 sensor that is after the cat? I do have a code that was thrown a few days ago which I assume is a exhaust code from the bad-cat.

well i wouldn't just assume, go to autozone to have it checked. and yes, you should just go ahead and get a simulator w/ the high flow cat. and if you dont have inspections like here in OK. i would just do a straight pipe or cut-out would go good there too
Yeah, I had planned on having the guy that installs my exhaust check the code for me to make sure.
I have already planned on buying a o2 simulator. I guess it wouldn't make sense to buy a new o2 sensor and then an o2 simulator since the simulator will take care of a bad signal from the o2 sensor.
In hindsight I guess it was a stupid question
We don't have emissions testing here in NE but I have already bought the high flow cat and anyway I want to keep the car legal because it will probably be traded in for something else eventually.

yeah, i bought a high floe cat also and then when i started putting everything together i was like, why did i do that. but i bought it before i found out about the sensors coldnt handle it.
I have all my o2 sensers they work just fine with my highflow cat lol.
