The y pipe on the 3.4 is double walled right? When I first got my car it rattled, sounded like knocking engine. My car is tapping now and I just had the engine checked and they say it is fine...how can I tell if it is coming from the y pipe? If it is the pipe, is there a single walled one out there?

The Y-Pipe on the 3.8s are double walled Joel, I am not sure about the 3.4s however. You have a couple different options if it is rattling:
-buy a set of headers and they'll come with the ypipe
-buy a used ypipe, might be hard to find
-have an exhaust shop fab up a ypipe, most expensive option probably.
I decided to buy headers when my ypipe messed up on my stock manifolds.Comment
