My experiance w/ having a friend help you

well, i guess i really didnt mean that we would end our relationship but that it would put on alot of pressure and stuff. im going over there tonight and tell him to be a man and fix what he broke. i think it will go good. i just need to stand up to him. im glad i've always had confidience cuase hes a big scary mother ****er and its going to take balls to say something to him

A little advice from someone who's had inlaws for a long time:

1) Depend on them as little as possible. Don't accept too many favors, and don't accept too much financial help. Some people like to hold things over your head.

2) Keeping the peace is the most important thing you can do. It's probably better to keep your mouth shut and let this be a lesson learned.

Your healthy relationship is with your girl, not your inlaws. But, they come with the package. Don't set yourself up for years, or maybe a lifetime, of hard feelings. Let it go.

i say go to him and be like "you know what im not going to make you pay for this because i dont want you to get all butt hurt about it, but i think that the way you handled the situation was selfish and If you cant take responsibility for your own foolish actions then I dont want your help again and ."

i talked to him and it went good. i walked in the house and told him he needs to grow up and take responsibility for his stupid actions. then he got up, shook my hand and we went to dinner. it was a good night

if i told my girlfriend's dad to grow up and take responsibility for his actions, he'd probably choke me lol. glad to hear everything is good between you two though.

If I ever told an adult who was trying to do me a favor to grow up and take responsibility for their actions - it wouldnt matter if I were actually right or not, they wouldnt get a chance to hurt me.. my mother would somehow hear it from far away, swoop in and smack me straight across the face.
