• Removed Maf Screen

i took the maf screen out today, i was cleaning my k&n air filter and i decided to give this mod a try. i read all about it, pros and cons. so far no ses light, no rough idle,i can feel a diference exhaust sound like more deeper AND YES you can tell the diference in the power band. i'll wait until monday cause i drive a lot (120 Miles daily) to see if it's going to hurt my pocket with the gas

Removing the MAF screen tends to work much better in 99 and up cars.

it has snap ring holding it in... snap ring pliers would help ..you can use small screwdrivers but becarefull not to damage screen, may want to use it again

There is a ring holding the screen, and the screen itself, you just have to remove the ring ,i did mine with a little nail, and then you have to pull the screen out. it was easy just make sure that the intake is hot and it'll come to you pretty easy.

Not being mean, but there are plenty of previous threads on this. If you end up having a bad experience please let us know. But I'm gonna lock this just b/c its a super common thread.

But other wise its a free mod worth trying. And I just used a pair of plyers to get the retaining ring off. But I still couldn't get the screen out. So I carefully took the maf sensor out and pushed the screen out with my finger.
