• WS6 hood and airbox (functional) on 97 3.8, pics inside!!

Myself and W68Firebird97 performed this today on his 97 3.8 Firebird using my hood and airbox, since my car has been out of commision for a few weeks. Will have track results and gains within the end of the week. Any questions, feel free to drop me a line. :D

Yes both cars were EXTREMELY dirty, but you get the point. And yes green on black looks kind of poopoo too, but ya know how it is.

We used a 4" dryer hose to connect the outlet on the airbox to the throttle body, similar to the whisper lid style on 98+ angle-bodied 3.8s. One issue we ran into was that the IAT sensor wires were not long enough to reach the OEM IAT sensor position on the airbox, so a little cutting and splicing was necessary.

All in all it looks (after a quick wash... ;) )and performs very well.

Hey man...saw you hit a 15.3 I think? Nice meetin' ya!

W68 finally got where he would like to be, better than that fluke 17.1 with a 15.1.

If he coulda had one more run, well, that would have been nice.

mike24 was there as well, hangin' out.
